I wanted to practice my mini heart block again and this time I used fabrics from Tula Pink’s Chipper line. You can read about my previous mini heart blocks here, here, and here. My binding is still a little crooked but practice makes perfect right?
I love how this fox mug rug turned out! The color combination paired with Art Gallery fabrics turned out better than I thought it would.
UPDATE – August 9, 2016
If you want to make a mug rug of your own, I created a digital pattern for this quilt block in 2 sizes available in my Etsy shop here.
I couldn’t fit the chipmunk without making a bigger block so I made some modifications. I don’t have instructions to make this one as I don’t like this one as much. The final measurements is about 7.5″ x 7.5″.
I would love to see your mini quilt / mug rugs if you decide to make one.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy “mad” mini quilting!
Two very cute mug rugs!
